The March Toothseekers Parent Meetup

What if your child's mouth is telling you a story?

A child's mouth doesn't develop in isolation.

The way they breathe.

The way they sleep.

The way they eat.

The way their tongue moves.

The way their jaws grow.

The way their teeth come in.

These things can be connected in ways that aren't always obvious when you're looking at just one piece of the puzzle.

And sometimes, by the time a parent is told there's a problem with the teeth, the mouth has already been telling the story for years.

That's what makes this month's Toothseekers conversation so important.

This Month's Conversation

Guest Host: Dr. Catherine Murphy, DDS MSD (Orthodontist)

Catherine Murphy is one of the few orthodontists I've encountered who has understood from early on that supporting a child isn't just about getting the teeth into a straighter row.

It's about understanding the whole child.

Catherine and I actually met years ago, when she was seeking care for her own children.

Over the years, I've watched her dedicate countless hours to educating families and other providers about the importance of the early developmental window, and helping parents understand why getting support sooner can sometimes matter.

She's authored books designed to empower parents with information they can actually use.

She's also been deeply thoughtful about something that doesn't get talked about enough: the mental health impact of having your concerns dismissed.

Because when you spend months or years wondering whether something is wrong with your child, only to hear:

"They're fine."

"They'll grow out of it."

"It's just a phase."

"Don't worry about it."

...that uncertainty can take a real toll.

This isn't about convincing every parent that their child needs orthodontic treatment.

It's about learning to look at the whole picture.

Topic: A child's mouth tells the story of how they have been breathing, sleeping, and eating.

Date: Saturday, March 13th (2027)

Time: 10AM Eastern Standard Time (New York/Miami)

  • Why attend live?

    These conversations are never recorded.

    Not as a marketing tactic.

Because parents deserve a safe place to ask vulnerable questions about their children without worrying that those conversations will live online forever.

That means the only way to be part of the discussion is to join us live.

    Bring your questions.
Or simply come to hear what other families are asking.

Either way, you'll leave with more clarity than you arrived with.

The Toothseekers is a peer support community. Conversations are intended for education, connection, and shared experiences, not medical advice or diagnosis.

Because these are live community events with limited spots, each registration reserves a place in the conversation. To help us plan for every meetup and ensure those spots are available for families who want to attend, the $12 registration fee is non-refundable.

If you're unable to join, simply email julia@oriswellness.com at least 24 hours before the meetup, and we'll gladly transfer your registration to a future Toothseekers Parent Meetup.
