“I hate you” are the first words my son would use in the morning
I’m going to show you exactly how to transform your mornings from chaos to ease - oh and actually make it out the door in time!
If you find yourself in a war zone every morning with your kids.
If you’re always running late.
If you’ve tried threats, and bribes, and punishments but nothing makes getting out the door easier, then you’re about to read exactly how all of this can change.
My own chaos:
I don’t have perfect children. My kids aren’t “easy.” Quite the opposite. Mornings with my crew of three young children (8,5,3) were miserable. At one point we received a letter from my daughter’s school warning us about her number of tardies. Mornings weren’t joyful, or smooth, and they certainly weren’t on time.
At one point, my 5-year-old started waking up already on defense. Words like, go away, I hate you, and sometimes just tears began before he even climbed out of bed. Things had to change. I had a collective 16 years of parenting experience, and nothing changed until I committed to 4 principles. One concrete change led to the next.
What better mornings look like:
The change happened fast. Within a week, I was experiencing VERY different mornings with my kids.
Breakfast is a time for chatting
When things go wrong (spilled milk, a kid that has to poop), it doesn't derail the morning
Shoes are on without a fight
No more car seat battles
I can count on one hand the number of times my kids were late for school. In fact, one of my kids got to school a whopping 30 minutes before the bell each day.
And the absolute bonus I never anticipated - the rest of the day was easier too (including bedtime!!).
And I’m not unique. Virtually every family that has adopted what I teach in Chaos-free mornings have seen similar shifts.
