Ear Training.
Its importance gets emphasised to singers and musicians alike, but so few people know where and how to start.
Until now.
"Off the Page" is designed to establish and call on theoretical knowledge to strengthen your relationship with music at its most fundamental level. This course serves as a cornerstone in constructing a stronger ear.
This course contains six hours of self-paced content, packed with exercises in hearing differences and nuances in pitch, harmony, scales, chords and chord progressions.
This course will empower you to transform your relationship with the music you listen to, sing and play, and by the end of this course, you will:
be able to find the tonic (key centre) of a song by ear
know how to recognise and recall melodic direction, distances between notes, harmonies and scales
hear what intervals sound like in real life with popular songs as examples
understand the structure of chords, chord inversions and chord progressions and how they sound in the context of a key signature
know how scales, chords and chord progressions function, and internalise the feelings they provide
hear melodies and harmonies, understanding their connection to a chord progression
and so much more!
MT102, aptly named "Off the Page", is a one-stop resource hub, designed to equip your ear with strength and dexterity, all while pulling from knowledge you already have.
