Why pilots get out of shape:
Long hours seated in the cockpit
Traveling away from your routine and gym equipment
Eating out for every meal
Back and neck issues from sitting in crash rated seats
This program is how I make choices everyday to protect my medical and keep flying (and doing all the other things I love).
Through these kinds of exercises, I've seen aviators with crippling back issues rehabilitate and strengthen themselves to get back in the cockpit. My father is a retired A10 pilot who still flies for the airlines today when he's not rolling on the judo mat. I am a former D1 athlete turned military Officer who was one of the first females in a combat arms role. My husband was Special Warfare and the head of the Human Performance program in his squadron. We are all pilots now and understand that stagnation does not equal longevity.
This guide was built specifically for the time constraints, equipment limitations, and sedentary hours throughout a pilots day.
