5. Coaching Sessions
Nature Of Coaching
Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process designed to support personal growth, resilience, and wellbeing.
Coaching is not therapy, counselling, or medical treatment. While sessions may explore past experiences, the focus remains on present challenges and future goals.
Trauma-informed coaching acknowledges the impact of trauma but does not replace clinical mental health care.
Clients Responsibiity
Clients are responsible for their own decisions, actions, and outcomes that may result from coaching sessions.
Clients agree to attend sessions with honesty, openness, and a willingness to engage in the process.
If a client feels overwhelmed, unsafe, or triggered during a session, it is their responsibility to communicate this so we can pause, adjust, or stop as needed.
Coach Responsibiity
The coach will provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space.
The coach will maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality at all times (see section 5).
The coach will not provide medical, legal, or financial advice, nor make decisions on behalf of the client.
Suitability
Coaching is not suitable for individuals experiencing acute mental health crises, including suicidal ideation, untreated PTSD, or other conditions that require professional therapy, psychiatry, or crisis intervention.
If such needs arise, the coach may pause sessions and recommend referral to appropriate services.
Confidentiality
All information shared in sessions will remain confidential unless:
With client consent, the coach may take anonymised notes for reflective practice and professional development.
Session Logistics
Sessions are delivered online via secure video call unless otherwise agreed.
Each session lasts approximately 50- 60 minutes.
Clients are responsible for ensuring they attend sessions on time in a private, distraction-free environment where they feel safe.
While the coach aims to be understanding and flexible, rescheduling is offered at the coach’s discretion depending on the circumstances. Repeated no-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in the session being forfeited, no refund issued, and future bookings not being accepted.
Payments and Cancellations
Payment must be made at the time of booking unless otherwise arranged.
Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
If the coach cancels, an alternative time will be offered or a refund provided.
