Join SankofaSpirit Reading Roots™ for an engaging reading and cultural-learning adventure exploring Ghanaian heritage, visual storytelling and gratitude through the original story Ama and the Traveling Cloth.
Designed for learners in grades 3–5, this 45-minute live online class combines literacy, cultural exploration and thoughtful discussion.
As Ama discovers the meaning carried within a special family cloth, learners examine how colors, patterns and Adinkra symbols can communicate ideas, preserve memories and connect generations. Ama’s journey invites students to think more deeply about gratitude and how we can acknowledge the people, traditions and lessons that shape our lives.
