Your Travel Budget Bestie

£7

For the person who budgets £2,000 for a trip… and somehow comes home having spent £3,000.

You asked…
“Want to know more about your decision on travelling, like how are you managing schools of your kids, expenses and all.” – a YouTube viewer
“…Plz share the link for your budget app…it’ll be immensely helpful :)” – @hira.haque

This planner is our answer. Around 450 of you have commented “BUDGET” to get it.

This was never supposed to become a product.

My husband spent 12 years working as an actuary, professionally modelling risk, forecasting outcomes and making sense of what could happen when the numbers didn’t go according to plan.

So when we decided to leave our careers, sell our home and travel the world for a year, he did what he does best.

He built us a spreadsheet.

We started using it every single day to track our spending, upcoming bookings and – most importantly – our remaining financial runway.

It gave us a much clearer picture of where our money was actually going, what we had committed to, and whether our plans were still financially sustainable.

And after months of using it ourselves, I realised we had built something that other people might find useful too.

So we turned our travel budget spreadsheet into a simple, one-tab planner that evolves with your spending.

What you get
✓ Budget vs actual spending across 9 categories: flights, accommodation, transport, food, activities, insurance, shopping, health and visas
✓ Live totals showing your budget, spending to date and percentage of budget used
✓ Automatic charts showing where your money is going
✓ A budget health dial so you can see how you’re tracking at a glance
✓ Overspend alerts that tell you exactly how much you’ve gone over
✓ 40 line-item rows with dropdowns for category and booking status
✓ A sample Lisbon trip already filled in – just overtype it with your own numbers
✓ Protected formulas so you can use it without accidentally breaking anything

Everything sits on one tab, because the goal isn’t to give you another complicated financial system.

It’s to help you answer one simple question:

“Where is my travel money actually going?”
