The Year 6 Autumn Assessment covers the key knowledge and skills your child should have secured from Year 5, alongside content commonly introduced during the beginning of Year 6. The questions use familiar SATs-style formats while building progressively within each area, helping to identify the precise point at which your child becomes less confident.
WHAT IS INCLUDED?
Your child will complete assessments covering:
• Maths arithmetic and reasoning
• Reading comprehension
• Spelling, punctuation and grammar
• Spelling
You will receive all the assessment papers, clear instructions for administering them at home and guidance about the support you may provide.
PERSONALISED MARKING AND REPORT
This is much more than a percentage or total score.
Every assessment will be personally marked and analysed by Sarah, a qualified teacher, experienced Year 6 specialist and specialist KS2 SATs marker.
Within 4 weeks, you will receive a full personalised report for each subject, including:
• Your child’s current strengths
• Specific gaps and areas of weakness
• A breakdown of performance across individual skill areas
• The areas that should be prioritised next
• Suggested resources and practical ways to support your child at home
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Download and print the assessment papers.
Ask your child to complete them independently, following the supplied instructions.
Upload clear photographs or scans of their completed papers.
Sarah will mark and analyse their responses.
You will receive your child’s individual reports and recommendations within 4 weeks.
This assessment is ideal if you are unsure whether your child is currently on track, want to identify gaps before they become more difficult to address, or would like a clear and manageable plan for supporting them at home.
