October is when the veil grows thin, the nights stretch long, and something ancient in us stirs and says it's time to gather.
Come sit in circle with women who understand. We'll bind herbs, share stories over steaming cups, and craft our own smudge sticks to cleanse our homes, our hearts, and the year behind us.
No experience needed. Just bring yourself, your intentions, and your sisterhood.
🌿 Herb Magic
Learn the folklore and meaning behind each herb: rosemary for protection, lavender for peace, and more. Choose your blend by what your spirit is calling in.
🕯️ The Binding Ritual
With cotton thread and slow hands, you'll wrap your bundle while setting an intention into every turn. Your stick will be wholly yours, charged with your own energy.
🔮 Circle & Sisterhood
Open the evening with a grounding ritual, then share, laugh, and be witnessed. There is power in women gathering, and you'll feel it.
🍂 Seasonal Sips & Sweets
Warm herbal brews to nourish you while you work your magic.
Your own handcrafted smudge stick (or two!)
Knowledge to cleanse and bless your space with intention
A new understanding of the herbs you worked with
A heart full of sisterhood and a spirit refreshed for the dark half of the year
You feel the pull of the season and want to honour it
You crave real connection with other women
You're curious about herbal and ritual practice, whether you're new or seasoned
You simply need an evening that feels like magic
What: Samhain Sister Circle – Smudge Stick Making
Date: Wednesday 28th October
Time: 7:00pm to 8:30pm
Where: The Maple Room, Ripon Community House
We will craft with ethically sourced, home-grown herbs where possible. We won't be using white sage, which is sacred to Indigenous peoples and under threat from overharvesting. There is plenty of magic in the plants that grow close to home. Please feel free to bring your own with you from home that you would like to include in your bundle.
The candles are waiting, the herbs are drying, and a seat has been saved for you.
Blessed be, and see you in the dark. 🌙
