I know the feeling of thinking about something for years. You read about people who moved to the countryside, you save a few videos, you imagine mornings by a lake. Then Monday comes and you open the laptop like always.
The reason is usually reasonable. You have work, bills, maybe a family. A big jump feels risky, and it is risky if you do it without a plan.
That's why I wrote this guide for careful people. I'm careful too. I kept my online work the whole time I was changing my life, and nothing happened overnight. I moved from big cities to a much smaller one in the north of Poland only after I had checked the money, my days and the place itself.
The part I'd recommend most is the mini-escape. You pick a place and stay there for a weekend, a week or a month. You treat it as if you already live there: you cook with food from the local market, work from a café, run one normal errand, and talk to at least two locals. Before you go, you write down what would make you say "yes, this works for me". When you come back, you know a lot more than any amount of research online could tell you.
A written list of what you want, so you stop going round in circles in your head
A realistic picture of your costs and income in a new place
A tested place, or a clear reason why it wasn't right
A plan for what could go wrong, with a backup for each risk
One small first action you can take this week
Chapter 1. Understanding your escape Why you want a slower life, the 5 escape archetypes, your escape criteria, a mental decluttering worksheet and a stop-doing list.
Chapter 2. Work and money Portable skills inventory, active and passive income ideas, a small challenge to find one problem you could get paid to solve, and a cost check for two real places.
Chapter 3. Your days Core values, a weekly energy map, your ideal slow day, a community checklist and a time block reality check.
Chapter 4. Making the move The mini-escape plan, the local life challenge, a relocation checklist, your first 7 days plan, and a risk and response framework that turns vague fears into a list you can actually work through.

I'm Aleks, the founder of Slovlog. I have worked online with clients from several countries for years. After moving I also became a licensed local guide, so I now spend part of my week outdoors with people visiting the region. That second, offline job came from slowing down. I didn't plan it.
You live in a big, busy city and feel tired more often than you'd like to admit
Your work is online or could become online
You want to decide with real numbers, and you'd rather test a place than jump
If you already moved somewhere quieter, chapters 2 and 3 will still help with money and routines.
There's no visa or tax advice for specific countries inside. Those depend on where you go, so check them locally.
The guide is $19. You get the PDF by email right after paying.
Is it a printed book? No, it's a 50-page PDF that you can print or fill in on a screen.
I'm not ready to move. Is it still useful? Yes. Chapters 1 to 3 are about understanding what you want, your income and your days. You can stop there and move in a few years, or never.
Does it only work for Europe? No. I use my region as an example in a few places, and every exercise works in any country.
What if it's not for me? Let’s be honest: I wrote this ebook myself, drawing on my own experience and weeks of work. It’s not AI slop or a collection of generic tips. It’s a personal perspective on slow living that I hope will help you see things differently.
I’ve shared a screenshot and a preview so you can get a feel for the book before spending your money. Please take a look and decide whether it’s for you. If it isn’t, no hard feelings. Once you download your copy, I don’t offer refunds for a change of mind, subject to your statutory consumer rights. If there’s a problem with the file or your order, please contact me.
