STORE TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for purchasing a product or service from Take A Vow Portugal (“we”, “us”, “our” or the “Service Provider”).
These Terms & Conditions govern purchases of digital products, wedding planning resources, planning tools and Wedding Advisory services offered through our online store and associated platforms.
By completing a purchase and accepting these Terms, you (“Customer”, “you” or “your”) agree to be bound by them.
Please read these Terms carefully before making a purchase.
1. ABOUT US
Take A Vow Portugal is a trading name used by a self-employed wedding planning professional operating in Portugal.
We provide independent wedding planning resources, digital tools and professional advisory services for couples planning weddings in Portugal.

2. PRODUCTS & SERVICES
2.1 Digital Products
Our digital products may include wedding planning guides, ebooks, templates, checklists, venue and supplier research tools, databases and other downloadable or online resources.
Unless otherwise stated, digital products are provided for personal, non-commercial use only.
2.2 Wedding Advisory Services
Wedding Advisory provides personalised professional guidance to couples planning their own weddings in Portugal.
Each standard Wedding Advisory Session includes:
One 60-minute virtual consultation
A short pre-session questionnaire
A personalised written summary of recommendations and actionable next steps
Consultations focus on the customer's individual questions and priorities. Not every aspect of wedding planning can necessarily be addressed within one session.
Wedding Advisory does not include ongoing planning management, supplier correspondence, supplier bookings, independent research or unlimited support.
Additional consultations must be purchased separately or through an available session bundle.
3. PRICING & PAYMENT
All prices are displayed at checkout in the applicable currency and include or identify applicable taxes as required by law.
Payment must be completed in full before access to a digital product or confirmation of a paid advisory service is provided.
Payments are processed through Stan Store and its associated payment providers.
We do not store customers' full payment card details.
Prices may change without prior notice. Changes will not affect purchases already completed.
4. DIGITAL PRODUCT ACCESS & DELIVERY
Following successful payment, customers will receive access to their purchased digital products through the delivery method specified at checkout.
This may include immediate download, email delivery or access through an online platform.
Unless otherwise stated, customers receive access to the version of the product available at the time of purchase.
Customers are encouraged to download and securely retain any downloadable files.
We may update, improve or discontinue digital products, subject to existing contractual obligations and applicable consumer rights.
Purchase of a digital product does not automatically include future editions, additional resources or ongoing personalised support.
5. DIGITAL PRODUCT CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
Digital products are generally delivered immediately following successful payment.
Where permitted by applicable law, the statutory right of withdrawal may be lost once digital content delivery begins, provided the customer has given the required express consent and acknowledgement before delivery.
Except where required by applicable law, digital products are non-refundable once delivery has begun.
This does not affect statutory rights relating to faulty, misdescribed or undelivered digital content.

6. WEDDING ADVISORY BOOKINGS
Wedding Advisory Sessions are available by advance appointment only.
Following successful payment, customers will receive instructions to schedule their consultation through our designated booking platform.
Appointments are subject to availability.
6.1 Booking Confirmation
A consultation is considered scheduled once the customer has selected an available appointment and received booking confirmation.
Payment does not guarantee availability on a particular date or at a particular time.
6.2 Pre-Session Questionnaire
Customers will be asked to complete a short questionnaire before their consultation.
This allows us to understand their wedding plans, priorities and questions.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information.
Failure to complete the questionnaire may limit our ability to provide tailored recommendations.
6.3 Consultation Duration
Each consultation lasts 60 minutes.
Customers are responsible for joining on time and ensuring they have a suitable internet connection.
Late arrival will not extend the consultation beyond its originally scheduled finishing time.
7. WEDDING ADVISORY CANCELLATIONS & RESCHEDULING
7.1 Non-Refundable Purchases
Wedding Advisory Sessions and session bundles are prepaid and non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable law.
Customers who no longer wish to attend their scheduled appointment may reschedule it in accordance with the policy below.
Voluntary cancellation of an appointment or a decision not to use a purchased session does not entitle the customer to a refund.
Nothing in this section affects statutory consumer rights.
7.2 Rescheduling
Customers may reschedule their Wedding Advisory Session as many times as necessary, free of charge, provided they give at least 24 hours' notice by email to claudia@takeavowportugal.com.
All rescheduled appointments are subject to availability.
Rescheduling requests received less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment will not normally be accepted, and the session may be considered used, subject to applicable consumer rights.
For customers who have purchased a session bundle, all rescheduled appointments must take place within the original 12-month validity period.
Rescheduling does not extend the validity period of a session bundle.
7.3 Cancellations
Customers who are unable to attend their scheduled appointment should request to reschedule it in accordance with Section 7.2.
Cancellation of an appointment does not constitute cancellation of the original purchase and does not entitle the customer to a refund, except where required by applicable law.
7.4 Missed Appointments
If a customer fails to attend a scheduled consultation without providing the required notice, the session will be considered used and will not be replaced or refunded, subject to applicable consumer rights.
7.5 Cancellations by the Service Provider
If Take A Vow Portugal needs to cancel or reschedule a consultation, the customer will be offered an alternative appointment at no additional cost.
If a suitable alternative cannot be agreed, the customer will receive a refund for the undelivered consultation.
8. WEDDING ADVISORY BUNDLES & SESSION CREDITS
Where Wedding Advisory Sessions are purchased as a bundle, the customer receives the number of consultations specified in the product description.
Unless otherwise stated at purchase:
Each session credit entitles the customer to one 60-minute virtual consultation.
All session credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
All consultations must take place within this 12-month validity period.
Sessions may be scheduled individually, subject to availability.
Credits are for the purchasing customer or couple and may not be resold or transferred without written permission.
A completed consultation uses one session credit.
A missed appointment or rescheduling request made with less than 24 hours' notice may result in forfeiture of the relevant credit, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Rescheduling does not extend the original 12-month validity period.
Unused session credits expire at the end of the validity period, subject to applicable consumer rights.
We may grant extensions at our discretion.
Refunds for partially used bundles will be assessed in accordance with applicable law.
9. WEDDING ADVISORY DELIVERABLES
Following a completed Wedding Advisory Session, the customer will receive a personalised written summary.
This may include:
Key recommendations discussed during the consultation
Relevant planning considerations
Suggested next steps
Venue or supplier recommendations where relevant
The written summary is intended to capture and clarify the guidance provided during the session.
It does not include additional independent research, detailed planning documents, extensive proposal analysis or ongoing correspondence unless expressly agreed.
We aim to deliver the written summary within three business days following the consultation.
10. STATUTORY CONSUMER WITHDRAWAL RIGHTS
Customers purchasing products or services online may have statutory withdrawal rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Eligible consumers will generally have a 14-day withdrawal period, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
10.1 Digital Products
Where digital content is supplied immediately, the statutory withdrawal right may be lost once delivery begins, provided the customer has given the necessary prior express consent and acknowledgement.
10.2 Wedding Advisory Services
Where a customer requests that an Advisory Session be delivered during an applicable statutory withdrawal period, we may request express consent to begin providing the service before that period expires.
If the customer subsequently exercises a valid withdrawal right after services have begun but before they are fully performed, a proportionate payment may be due for services already provided, where permitted by law.
Where a service has been fully performed, the statutory withdrawal right may be lost if all required legal conditions, including prior consent and acknowledgement, have been satisfied.
10.3 Exercising Withdrawal Rights
Customers wishing to exercise an applicable statutory withdrawal right should contact claudia@takeavowportugal.com with their name, purchase details and a clear statement of their decision to withdraw.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes mandatory statutory consumer rights.
11. SCOPE & LIMITATIONS OF WEDDING ADVISORY
Wedding Advisory provides professional recommendations based on the information available at the time of consultation.
Advice may cover:
Venue selection and comparisons
Wedding budgets and supplier pricing
Supplier recommendations
Design and décor
Supplier proposals and contractual considerations
Guest experience and logistics
Wedding-day timelines
The service does not include:
Contacting or negotiating with suppliers
Requesting quotes or making reservations
Managing supplier relationships
Booking venues or suppliers
Ongoing wedding planning management
Wedding-day coordination
Legal, tax or regulated financial advice
Any Wedding Coordination services must be booked separately and are subject to their own agreement and availability.
12. PROFESSIONAL ADVICE & DISCLAIMERS
Our products and services are based on professional experience, industry knowledge and information available at the time of delivery.
We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our services.
However, we cannot guarantee:
Supplier or venue availability
Future supplier pricing
Particular wedding planning outcomes
The performance of independent third-party suppliers
That every potential planning issue will be identified during a consultation
Recommendations are intended to support the customer's decision-making.
Customers remain responsible for their final decisions, supplier contracts, payments and wedding arrangements.
Any commentary on supplier contracts or proposals represents practical industry guidance and does not constitute legal advice.
13. INDEPENDENCE & THIRD-PARTY SUPPLIERS
Take A Vow Portugal operates independently and does not receive supplier commissions for recommendations made through its Wedding Advisory service.
Customers choose, contact, negotiate with, contract and pay their suppliers directly.
We are not a party to contracts between customers and independent suppliers.
We are not responsible for the independent acts, omissions or contractual obligations of third-party suppliers, except where liability arises under applicable law.
14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All original content created by Take A Vow Portugal remains our intellectual property or that of our relevant licensors.
This includes written guides, planning templates, frameworks, original methodologies, digital resources, advisory summaries and supporting materials.
Limited Licence
Customers receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use purchased materials for their own wedding planning purposes.
Customers may share relevant materials with their partner and suppliers where reasonably necessary for planning their own wedding.
Customers may not, without written permission:
Resell or commercially distribute purchased materials
Publish substantial portions of the content
Reproduce materials for commercial purposes
Create competing commercial products using protected content
Remove copyright notices or misrepresent authorship
Nothing in these Terms restricts rights permitted by applicable intellectual property law.
15. CONFIDENTIALITY & PERSONAL INFORMATION
We will treat personal information and non-public wedding planning details shared during Advisory Sessions with appropriate confidentiality, subject to legal obligations and our Privacy Policy.
Customer information may be processed through third-party platforms used for payment, scheduling, video consultations, questionnaires and product delivery.
Personal data will be processed in accordance with applicable data protection legislation and our Privacy Policy.
Customers should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive personal information.
16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
We will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing our products and services.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for losses arising solely from decisions independently made by customers or from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We shall not be responsible for the independent acts or omissions of third-party suppliers except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Any other limitation of liability shall apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and shall not affect mandatory consumer remedies.
17. THIRD-PARTY PLATFORMS
We may use third-party platforms including Stan Store, Calendly, video conferencing providers, email services and digital delivery platforms.
Temporary interruptions or technical difficulties may occasionally occur.
Where a technical issue prevents delivery of a purchased product or service, we will take reasonable steps to provide access, arrange an alternative or offer an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law.
18. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Portugal, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply in the customer's country of habitual residence.
Nothing in this clause deprives consumers of protections or jurisdiction rights that cannot lawfully be excluded by contract.
Disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts determined in accordance with applicable law.
19. AMENDMENTS
We may update these Terms periodically.
The version in effect at the time of purchase will govern that purchase unless a change is required by law or expressly agreed with the customer.
Updated Terms will apply to future purchases.
20. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.
21. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms, together with the applicable product description, checkout disclosures and any expressly incorporated service-specific conditions, form the agreement between us and the Customer.
Nothing in this provision excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
22. ACCEPTANCE
By completing a purchase and expressly accepting these Terms at checkout, the Customer confirms that they have read and understood the Terms & Conditions applicable to their purchase.
Where additional express consent or acknowledgement is legally required for immediate digital delivery or early commencement of services, this will be requested separately.
