This is a working workshop, not ninety minutes of me telling you creativity is about trusting the moon or "working harder" or whatever.

Writing faster does NOT mean lowering your standards. In fact, I think it can help you raise them.
Writing faster means getting more efficient at making better decisions through a system. Knowing when to keep moving instead of endlessly tinkering. Creating material and letting it fully exist before you start judging it.
In WRITE BETTER. FASTER., we'll work on practical techniques for:
generating useful material without "waiting for inspiration"
using constraints to make writing easier
separating creating from evaluating / editing
making stronger creative decisions fearlessly and faster
moving through uncertainty without immediately starting over
producing more usable material in the time you actually have
The goal isn't just to write more.
It's to spend more of your creative time ENJOYING YOURSELF while Actually Making the Thing!
Why am I teaching this?
Because I make a LOT of stuff.
In a typical year, I create nearly two hours of completely new spoken storytelling material for wildly different audiences, from kids and families to very much NOT kids and families, alongside commissioned work, workshops, articles, and other creative projects.
I've had to get very good at moving from “this might be something” to actually making the thing.
And I've learned, over the years, how to make it better. And faster.
I've built a collection of processes, constraints, shortcuts, and creative tools that help me do that without waiting for perfect conditions. Because those RARELY show up.
That's what I'm teaching here.
