The Pocket Psychologist Mini Course
You move through the day on autopilot, reacting to things before you've had a chance to think them through, then replaying the moment later and wishing you'd handled it differently. You'd like to understand what's going on underneath, but you don't have hours to give it, and most of what you find online is scattered and hard to actually use.
This is a simple place to start.
The Pocket Psychologist Mini Course teaches practical, evidence-informed skills that help you understand your mind and respond to stress with more awareness and intention, all in about 60 minutes. It's an educational toolkit rather than therapy or treatment, written in plain English so you can use it in everyday life.
What you'll learn
The basics of your nervous system and how your body responds to stress
How to notice what's happening in your body and mind in moments of overwhelm
Simple strategies that support regulation and grounding
Common thinking patterns and how they shape the way you behave
How to set boundaries in a way that's clear and aligned with your values
How to recognise your own capacity, limits, and needs
How to apply small psychological skills in everyday situations
What this course is designed to help you build
More awareness of your emotional patterns
Responding with intention instead of reacting on autopilot
Skills you can draw on to navigate tricky moments
A gentler, more compassionate inner voice
Recognising early signs of stress so you can take mindful steps sooner
How much of this shows up in your life depends on you practising it, the same as anything else worth learning.
Who this is for, and who it isn't
This course is for you if you're curious about how your mind and body work and you want a clear, structured starting point rather than scattered tips from all over the internet.
It isn't the right fit if you're in crisis, working through unresolved trauma, or looking for something to replace individual therapy. This is general psychoeducation, not psychological treatment. If you're carrying something heavy, these tools work best alongside support from a trauma-informed therapist or other qualified mental health professional, rather than instead of one.
