What should you actually be earning?
Salary websites give you averages. Job adverts give you enormous ranges. Recruiters give you different answers. And comparing yourself with somebody who happens to have the same job title isn't particularly useful.
This guide gives you a practical way to work out what your particular combination of skills, experience, responsibilities and market demand is worth.
You'll learn how to:
research genuinely comparable salaries
avoid misleading salary comparisons
account for differences in responsibility, sector, location and company size
understand the difference between your current salary and your market value
build a realistic salary range
use that information when negotiating internally or externally
The goal isn't to produce one magical number. It's to make sure the next salary conversation you have is based on evidence rather than guesswork.
