Thinking Out Loud

£19

I never set out to become a content creator.

I was a recruiter with 20+ years of experience who kept seeing terrible job-search advice online and thought, that's not how this fucking works.

So I started talking about it.

Since then, I've built an audience of more than 700,000 followers and subscribers across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and email — while still working full-time and having absolutely no desire to become an internet guru.

Thinking Out Loud is the story of how I did it, but more importantly, everything I've learnt along the way.

I cover how I find things to talk about without living my life on a content calendar, why you don't need to be particularly loud or interesting to build an audience, the simple formats I've used again and again, how I turn one idea into multiple pieces of content, what going viral actually does (and doesn't do), why I started building an email list, how free resources eventually turned into paid products, and a lot of the stuff I wasted far too much time worrying about.

I'll also tell you exactly what I'd do if every one of my social accounts disappeared tomorrow and I had to start again from zero.

There are no screenshots of revenue, no “7-step personal brand framework”, no promises that you'll quit your job in 90 days and no £997 course waiting for you at the end.

It's just what I've actually done, what worked, what didn't, and what I've learnt from building a big audience around something I already knew a lot about.

If you've got knowledge or experience that other people might find useful, interesting or entertaining — but the whole idea of becoming a content creator makes you want to crawl up your own arse — I wrote this for you.

£19. Buy it once. Read it whenever you like.
