Understanding the dynamic with your narcissistic mom can be an important first step toward healing. But once you start seeing the patterns clearly, the next question is often: What do I do with all of this now?
But I’m Her Daughter is a 30-day practical healing workbook created to help you start answering that question.
This is for the daughter who understands more than she used to, but still finds herself feeling guilty for setting boundaries, questioning her own decisions, managing other people’s emotions, or slipping back into patterns she learned a long time ago.
Over 30 days, we’ll work through the patterns and roles you learned, the ways your body learned to respond, and the things that can make choosing yourself feel so uncomfortable.
Each day includes:
A teaching to help you understand what you may be experiencing and why
A real-life example that helps you recognize the pattern in everyday life
A reflection to help you connect it to your own experience
One small, practical step you can actually try
Together, we’ll work through things like:
Recognizing the role you learned to play in your family
Understanding your triggers and the ways your body learned to protect you
Separating guilt from responsibility
Setting boundaries that actually look like you
Paying attention to what contact with your mom costs you emotionally
Protecting your privacy and trusting your own decisions
Grieving what you didn’t get while learning who you are outside of the role you were expected to play
And even though this workbook is set up as 30 days, there is no pressure to finish it in exactly 30 days.
If one day takes you three days, that still counts.
I created this because understanding the dynamic was a huge part of my own healing, but understanding it didn’t automatically change the patterns I had spent years learning.
I still had to learn how to trust myself, listen to what I needed, and make choices without constantly worrying about someone else’s reaction.
I wanted those of us who have lived this dynamic to have something practical to come back to as we start figuring out what healing can actually look like in our own lives.
Book One, But She’s Your Mom, is about understanding the dynamic.
Book Two, But I’m Her Daughter, is about what comes next: taking small, practical steps toward healing from it.
