Why did I design this lesson?
In the times of social media, influencers and Instagram, TikTok and YouTube makeup videos, everyone thinks they are a little bit of a makeup expert! It can get overwhelming with the amount of conflincting information available to the general consumer.
What may work for your favourite YouTuber (or me!) may not necessarily work as well for you – your skin type, skin age, eye shape, etc.
A lot of influencer reviews are sponsored and paid for, so their recommendations are sometimes biased.
Feel like going to a makeup counter will be easier and cheaper? It will be, but again – makeup counters employ sales staff, it is in their best interest to sell you something, whether it works for you or not. Not to mention, there is no one brand that have a perfect collection of products, I cherry pick my favourite products from a variety of brands.
This is different to a visual masterclass where it’s a demonstration of an artist doing makeup on a Model that may not have the same skin tone and skin type as you.
All in all, you could end up wasting a lot of money on products that don’t suit you at all.
In a 2 hour lesson I do a day to evening look and it is 1-1 and hands on (I do create one side and you will replicate it step by step).
I will encourage you to bring what you already have in your makeup bag and then I can advise what I think you may need to purchase, or what you use in your existing makeup bag that works perfectly well.
We can try out things from my kit so I can appropriately recommend products for you that will work for you. This is a personalised class just for YOU. Much different to a masterclass where you watch someone apply makeup on themselves.
Disclaimer: sometimes the class can be less than 2 hours eg 1.5 hours, as some people don’t want to learn certain things such as winged liner, or they are quick learners. If the lesson goes over 2 hours each subsequent hour is charged per hour / half hour.
I go through the entire look from skin prep to concealer to eyeshadow to contouring – so everything is covered. In this makeup lesson we convert the eyeshadow from a soft daytime look to a heavy evening / occasion look.
