The 2026 MBA Recommender Prep Packet

I've coached applicants into Stanford GSB, Harvard Business School, Wharton, Kellogg, Chicago Booth, MIT Sloan, Columbia, Haas, Tuck, Ross, Yale SOM, Darden, INSEAD and London Business School — 400+ admits, a 5.0 rating across 200 reviews, and 4x Leland Top MBA Coach.

Your recommenders decide your outcome. Arm them.

Most applicants leave their letters to chance. The 2026 Packet gives your recommenders exactly what they need — structure, examples, and timelines — so their letter sounds like the ones that land admits.

What’s inside:

• A recommender-facing briefing you can hand over as-is

• Question-by-question guidance for the actual rec forms

• Timelines that keep letters off the critical path

• The anatomy of letters behind GSB, HBS, and Wharton admits

“The best decision I made in the MBA process was choosing to work with Ben — he’s the best coach out there!” — admitted to HBS, Wharton & Kellogg
