Five years ago I was crying on my office floor. I was a new mom, newly diagnosed with ADHD, drowning in a house I thought was too small.

So we bought the bigger house. I filled every closet, and somehow felt more overwhelmed.

I came to realize is was a capacity problem and lack of systems along with too much stuff.

I spent years in banking and mortgage underwriting before this. I read people's finances for a living, and I just never looked at my own home through that lens until I started letting go. Every item was a financial decision. I wasn't just clearing cabinets. I was auditing years of buying my way out of a feeling.
