This 2-week hands-on program is for people who want to learn how to build and operate their own freight dispatch business, not just sit through another class taking notes.
For two weeks, you’ll work alongside Z.R. Links staff while getting real-world experience with the same tasks freight dispatchers handle every day.
• Set up your dispatch business
• Cold call and find your own carriers
• Complete carrier onboarding
• Search load boards for freight
• Negotiate rates with brokers
• Book and dispatch loads
• Manage loads from pickup to delivery
• Communicate with brokers and carriers
• Complete dispatch paperwork
• Invoice your carriers
• Manage the daily operations of your business
You won’t be practicing with imaginary carriers. You’ll actively prospect for real carriers for YOUR dispatch company. Participating attendees currently average 1 to 2 carriers per week, although individual results vary.
When you secure a carrier, we keep going. You’ll receive guidance as you search for freight, negotiate rates, book loads, and manage the dispatch process.
Freight dispatching can be operated from a home office, office space, or virtually with the right tools and systems.
The goal is to teach you more than how to book a load. You’ll learn how to operate your own dispatch business so you can build something that fits your lifestyle.
When you successfully dispatch your own carriers, your company invoices them for your dispatch services, based on the fee you establish.
Monday through Friday for 2 weeks
