I went to a local girl and she told me I was just a summer but not the specific season, which I thought was odd. She said the gold and warm tones made my freckles “pop” but the silver neutralizes them—which I thought was odd because I thought when they are popping that meant I was glowing and that was good lol. Jan 2025– I decided to pay someone local to me $300 to be typed again. Now most of the colors looked okay on me when doing the drapes. But every now and then a spring color would just pop on me. I’ve always been creative. Interior design is my background, along with other things such as custom picture framing, teaching art, and decade of staging homes to prepare them for the market. I’ve always been super interested in colors. 40 years ago when I had my Colors done… Tried the spring season and it didn’t feel right. Parts of the winter season felt better. The parts in winter season that didn’t feel right were the brighter more intense colors and black. I have noticed that black probably drew my face down but I continue to wear it, for practical reasons. Then I just gave up hope with the seasons. I always wanted to be that blonde, you see in California that could wear the bright bubble gum, pink lipstick or that blonde that looked great in a black dress with red lipstick. I never could pull off any of those looks off. I looked ridiculous. As a result, I was very confused about colors.To answer your question the Soft Summer colors feels very natural to me. I feel good in these colors. I do notice my eyes more and my skin coloring doesn’t look as dark. Thank you so much for your help and seasoning me! I feel so much more confident when thinking about buying clothing. I feel so much more me! You are a beautiful girl and your coloring is so pretty and it has Inspired me. I wanted to thank you so much for helping me understand my color analysis and what works best for me. I was on the right track with clothing as I was drawn to softer muted tones, but now truly understand what colors work best for me. You taught me though that my love for golden highlights and gold jewelry and warmer tones in my makeup was all wrong for me. I can't unsee it now! I can see now how much these tones were making my complexion look more uneven and ruddy with my sun damage, as well as accentuate the redness in my skin. (I grew up in San Diego and never wore sunscreen.) Oh my goodness! I see it! I'm so happy! However, I never would have guessed. At makeup counters and clothing stores I have always heard 'you're an autumn' or 'you're warm'. Following their advice in purchases always felt off to me. You can't imagine how much warm toned makeup I have tossed in the trash through the years. Nothing better than getting out of bed and having an email in my inbox telling me my colour season. I would have never guessed, ever. But a lot of things make more sense: - gold and rose gold look great on me, silver not so much - my skin colour is neutral leaning warm. I’m NC10 in the Mac foundation. - friends telling me to stop wearing grey - a rusty red dress that looked so good on me but I was clueless as to why. My wardrobe does not reflect my ideal colours. I recently bought an olive green t -shirt and have a green dress in the right green. Other than that, I love black and all sorts of blues, pastels are a definite no no. Also, I would like to let you know why I chose you. There is a colour consultant a few suburbs from me but when I saw you on Instagram I knew I wanted you to do my colours. Whoah!! I did NOT expect those results! I'm still kinda in shock and processing, but I totally see it! I knew warm colors looked good on me, but I always felt like a lot of the Spring colors were just a bit too much. I see why now. While the Spring colors do add some brightness to my skin in the flag with all the colors, I see how the individual Spring color swatches draw more attention to themselves and away from my face. I think I was feeling that when I was wearing my clothes, without really knowing why... Duuude. I'm blown away right now, in the best way possible. Thank you! The new colors/stuff just gives me loads more confidence/energy - so it’s easier to part with the stuff that doesn’t. This sounds so weird but I really feel like the wrong colors take energy from you and the right ones give you energy. Strange but it kinda feels that way.
