Dr Lattisha Bilbrew Stanley Case Study

How This Surgeon 3x Her LinkedIn Growth and Expands Her Impact with Stanley

Share    —

TL;DR: Dr. Lattisha went from being the only Black female surgeon in her hospital to a top LinkedIn Creator, growing her following to over 15,000 in just a few months. Now, she uses her platform to advocate for patients, support physicians, and challenge healthcare inequities. Discover how she’s using Stanley to amplify her voice and expand her impact far beyond the clinic walls.

Dr. Lattisha Bilbrew is an orthopedic hand surgeon, LinkedIn Creator, and best-selling author. She’s often one of the few Black female surgeons in the room—the only at her clinic—driven by a mission to dismantle medical bias one patient at a time.

“Caring for patients and caring for physicians are inseparable,” she emphasizes.

Lattisha performs over 200 surgeries a year. But her greatest impact doesn’t happen in the operating room. It happens outside the clinic—teaching physicians and health leaders how to build LinkedIn authority without spending more time online.

Her guidance comes from firsthand experience. Six months ago, Lattisha was just starting to post more on LinkedIn and struggling to get engagement. That’s when she found Stanley—the catalyst behind her LinkedIn growth, and the only AI tool that actually writes like her.

Today, she’s become one of Stanley’s fastest-growing LinkedIn Creators, tripling her following and consistently getting standout engagement. But the biggest transformation didn’t happen on LinkedIn—it’s what that content has sparked offline.

Discover Lattisha’s journey from surgeon to Creator, and how she’s using Stanley to amplify her voice and extend her impact far beyond the clinic.

The Challenge: Finding the Right Platform For Her Voice

Dr Lattisha Bilbrew

Before LinkedIn, Lattisha experimented with Instagram and had a few viral moments. But she quickly recognized that sustaining that success meant prioritizing entertainment over the nuances of her field.

She wanted to discuss deeper issues and purpose-driven narratives like health equity and patient advocacy, but Instagram didn’t feel like the right room for that conversation. So she turned her attention to LinkedIn.

Initially, her LinkedIn content fell flat—only getting a few impressions per post. She tried tools like ChatGPT, but the output felt generic and drove minimal results.

“I thought I was just telling stories. Sharing what it’s like to be a Black female surgeon in spaces that weren’t built for me. Writing through the hard moments because staying quiet felt worse.”

She needed a way to translate her complex reality into engaging, accessible content without sacrificing her authenticity. And as a doctor and mother with limited time, she also needed help staying consistent without content creation becoming another full-time job—which led her to Stanley.

The Solution: A System for Consistent, Authentic Content

Lattisha began using Stanley in October 2025 and instantly saw results. She didn’t just use it for writing posts—she used it to ideate, strategize, and audit her past content. Over time, Stanley helped her understand the science behind LinkedIn content and learn what works for her audience.

“I found out about Stanley within weeks of it being launched, and I thought, ‘this is it.’ I started using Stanley, and literally overnight, my posts started going viral.”

Today, Stanley has become Lattisha’s partner throughout the creative process—generating hooks that stop the scroll, auditing her posting schedule and performance, and refining her overall approach. Since using Stanley, she’s shifted her content pillars beyond life as a surgeon to broader themes of patient advocacy and the minority experience in healthcare.

And recently, Stanley even helped Lattisha develop a new, mission-aligned offer: Beyond The Clinic—a program that teaches other healthcare professionals how to use Stanley to amplify their voice on LinkedIn.

“Healthcare professionals—especially with the changes we’ve seen, not just in the US, but worldwide—we really have to reclaim our voices. And Stanley is the key. We are not poets or writers. We are scientists. We need Stanley to pull it out of us and help us organize our thoughts.”

The Results: 3x LinkedIn Growth and Real-World Impact

Success by the numbers Lattisha Bilbrew

After struggling to get traction on her own, Lattisha’s LinkedIn posts began going viral regularly with Stanley. She grew her audience from roughly 4,000 followers to over 15,000 in a matter of months, with engagement as high as 8,000 reactions per post.

But the real impact has happened offline. Establishing a personal brand on LinkedIn has led to speaking engagements, recognitions from her company’s C-suite, and countless interactions with physicians and patients who recognize her from her content.

“A year ago, I would’ve never imagined sitting in rooms where ‘surgeon’ is the least interesting thing about me.”

The most meaningful impact, however, has been on her clinical practice. Patients are now driving across state lines to sit in her office because they resonate with her content.

“Every week, someone says I booked you because I saw you on LinkedIn. They’ve been misdiagnosed or treated unfairly, and I’ve been able to help them get better.”

Thanks to her success, Lattisha has been able to go half-time at her clinic and spend more time strategizing—without losing income or burning out. And the opportunities keep coming in.

Lattisha’s Playbook for LinkedIn Success

After months of using Stanley consistently, Lattisha has developed a repeatable process for getting LinkedIn results—without compromising authenticity or sounding like AI-written content.

“LinkedIn used to be too overwhelming for me. It felt like work. I got into LinkedIn when I signed up for Stanley. It broke things down in a way that made me want to study other LinkedIn strategists and LinkedIn itself.”

Lattisha teaches this framework inside Beyond the Clinic, but she’s not one to gatekeep.

Here’s her step-by-step playbook:

1️⃣ Collect content ideas throughout your day. Lattisha recommends keeping a notebook or notes on your phone to write down ideas as you think of them throughout the day. Instead of typing out drafts, she uses voice notes to capture her immediate thoughts within the Stanley app.

2️⃣ Turn that thought into one sentence, then tell Stanley you want to write a post on that thought. Usually, Lattisha starts her posts with a single sentence inspired by her day, and has Stanley build the content around that core idea.

3️⃣ Reassess the post. If Stanley’s suggestion doesn’t quite land, she starts making corrections or telling Stanley which direction she wants to go with it, based on the options presented.

4️⃣ Change the hook or the closing if needed, but not the middle. People will skim your content—your hook and closing line are what will stop their scroll and hold them.

5️⃣ Choose your image. What works will vary by niche. When it comes to healthcare professionals, Lattisha recommends using photos that show your face. “We’re whole people, and unless we show who we are as people, we’ll never get our point across.” Her advice? Get in the habit of taking quick, everyday photos of yourself to use in content.

6️⃣ Think about your posting frequency. How frequently can you realistically post? Start small and scale up once you’ve proven to yourself that you can post consistently. “Getting into a posting schedule that doesn’t feel like work is really important,” Lattisha emphasizes.

7️⃣ Test and learn. Post consistently for 30-60 days and ask Stanley to audit your content. Ask: How did this perform? What’s working, and what’s not? Adapt your content accordingly, and try new things.

Lattisha says this whole process should take 30 minutes or less. Don’t spend too much time on a single post—if you can’t reach a finalized place within half an hour, the idea likely isn’t strong enough.

What’s Next: Growing Beyond the Clinic

Lattisha Bilbrew Beyond the Clinic

Lattisha’s goal isn’t to become a full-time Creator—it’s to continue practicing medicine with more income, more opportunities, and a real voice. And she wants that for other healthcare professionals, too.

Many physicians are starting to feel the squeeze of budget cuts and broken systems. That’s why she’s hyper-focused on scaling Beyond the Clinic to become the go-to for physicians who want to build a personal brand and expand their impact.

“You can still practice medicine and love what you do. You just have to increase your supply of possibilities outside of it.”

Lattisha knows the strategies that work for most LinkedIn Creators don’t translate for healthcare professionals. They have different constraints. Different stakes. They need their own playbook.

That realization is what Beyond The Clinic is all about—a future where doctors are using tools like Stanley to build a platform and humanize themselves, moving away from stereotypes to show the empathy behind patient care.

“Your clinic has walls. Your impact doesn’t have to,” says Lattisha. “LinkedIn is the platform. Stanley is the key.”
